If you’re planning to purchase a home, homebuyer education or counseling is a great place to start. Your homeownership advisor will teach you about the process, answer your questions, and help you decide if homeownership is right for you.
If all borrowers in your household are first-time homebuyers, at least one of you must complete a homebuyer education course before closing on your home. We suggest taking it early in the homebuying process so you can be well informed and prepared. Choose from the following approved courses:

Framework® is the most comprehensive online homebuyer education course available to first-time homebuyers.
You can take this fun digital course anywhere, on your schedule. You do not need to complete the course in one session. You can stop at any time. Upon returning, you can continue where you left off.
No special computer skills are needed. No software or programs are installed. All you need is a computer, tablet or smart phone with an internet connection. $75 fee.
- HOME STRETCH offers in-person, classroom style workshops. Fee varies. Spanish language options available. Locations vary.
